Was super empty when we went but we all enjoyed the food here a lot! I love how thinly sliced the pig ear was, it had the perfect texture. The wok eggplants with minced pork was amazing, probably my favorite dish we ordered. Super flavorfully and perfectly cooked. Garlic green beans were standard. Crab pork XLB was okay, not much crab flavor. Pan fried pork cabbage dumplings were also standard. Beef chow mein was pretty good. Cucumbers didn't have as much flavor as I'd like but not bad. Overall definitely recommend the eggplants and pig ear!

First time trying this spot out in DTLA. I came on a Saturday afternoon and initially it was empty so I was hesitant. The overall look of the restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. The food is Northern Chinese so do not come in with the expectation that it’ll be Panda Express. The food itself was delicious, the pork wontons were very flavorful and came with a rich chili oil and peanut sauce, the beef roll is absolutely delicious if you’re not picky about cilantro, and the garlic pork spare ribs are crispy and packed with flavor. Service here was very kind as well.

OK overall experience has improved overtime. New management has made things better food services very much faster. I like the fried noodles, it is decently authentic. I go here quick stop for lunch during work. Ana is best server here.. does excellent job treats everyone well.

Had such a great experience at this café! The interior is beautiful and cozy, the atmosphere feels very welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious — everything we tried was amazing. One thing I especially loved is that they offer gluten-free dumplings, which is very important to me because not many cafés have that option. It was so nice to finally find a place where I could enjoy dumplings without worrying. Definitely highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice café with great service and food. The only downside was parking. Street parking was very limited, so we had to park in a paid lot for $12 a few minutes away from the café. But honestly, the experience was still worth it!

I was looking for a place to celebrate Lunar New Year with my fiends. We found a hidden gem in DTLA. This Northern Cafe location is amazing! The ambiance is elevated, they have their own bar and plenty of seating. All their food portions is big and definitely good for sharing. You get the bang for your back.I’m obsessed with their dumplings. The noodles are good, chewy and not soggy and tasty. They have plenty of drinks options from tea, boba milk tea and alcoholic drinks. Service Is amazing, everyones was attentive and super nice. Food is really good highly recommended! a nice ambiance is a plus! I would come back here again! What I got: Garlic Cucumber, Beef Roll Pork wontons in chili sauce, Pork and Cabbage Dumpling Crab Meat and Pork Soup Dumpling, Shrimp and Pork Chive Dumplings Orange Chicken, Beef Fried Noodle Drinks: Matcha Mojito Jasmine Green Milk Tea with Boba Thai Milk Tea Chocolate Boba Milk Tea
